CASE STUDY

Ooredoo Kuwait, part of the Ooredoo Group, with operations in The Middle East, Asia and North Africa. Founded in 1987 the Business is focused on providing Fixed, Mobile, Broadband, Internet and Corporate Managed Services to their 138 million Global Customers.

Prior to Lagrange Systems involvement with Ooredoo, the Business had invested much time and money in deploying a reliable Bill Presentment System. Following three unsuccessful deployments, Lagrange Systems were invited to investigate and detail all Business and IT Issues relative to Bill Presentment.

Following the Analysis by Lagrange Systems a a 3 Month Project Plan was presented along with the User Acceptance Test and the move to Production Phase which was agreed by Ooredoo. The Analysis identified some Key Performance Issues that needed to be addressed:

  • Unacceptable Corporate Bill delays
  • Archived data was overtaking storage capability
  • Delayed viewing of detail during Bill Cycle
  • Lack of flexibility to implement changes
  • Lack of quality when Bill displayed
  • Flexibility to switch Language
  • Time consumed when changes made to the Bill
  • No availability for multiple output format to the bill XML, CSV
  • No ready data warehouse solution for the billing information and revenue.

At the time being the following Data Streams needed to be catered for within the System:

  • GSM Subscribers
  • Data Cloud Customers
  • Internet Service Providers, in this case Fasttelco
  • Online Prepaid Contracts, for Subscribers using online Portal, Mobile App and Kiosk

By addressing all these requirements our System was installed in 2016 and is now Processing, Formatting and Distributing eBills to all Ooredoo Corporate and Commercial Customers and the Bill is received by the Customer while the Data is generated.

Additional benefits provided by our System to our Client are:

  • Online Contracts are automatically emailed to Subscribers with Fingerprint and Signature capability
  • Dynamic Advertising messages can be instantly and frequently changed with NO Downtime or Impact on Performance
  • Viewing Bill Samples with a single Mouse Click
  • Hot Bill, On Demand Billing. This Unique feature allows all Subscribers to view Current Usage and Threshold Values for each Service provided, whether Voice, SMS, or Data

Online Pre-Paid Contract

Ooredoo Kuwait fully transformed their sales operation to 100% digital by deployed in 2018 fully digital system based on MATRIXX Matrixx and Oracle CRM (Seibel) to provide fully digital process of subscription, purchasing and delivering new lines (SIM Card + Number). The process is entirely digital which can be completed either from Online Portal using your PC , Laptop or Tablet or Mobile App. Delivery of the sim card (Pre-activated) can be done within 3 hours.

Lagrange Systems had essential role in that project as it has to perform the full archiving , formatting and distribution of the subscriber’s contract upon any online purchase of Sim-card/number. the contract will contain customer’s profile , subscription and his Signature & Fingerprint embedded in the contract on both pages (as mandatory for security and legal regulations) , also the contract will be automatically emailed through Lagrange Module EDM – Email Distribution Module which is part of the system – to the destination email obtained from the customer’s data which he/she entered during the online purchase.
